Abstract
A 68-year-old man with advanced stage esophageal cancer of the middle thoracic esophagus (T4bN2M0, clinical stage IIIc) underwent chemoradiation therapy. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy had been performed to avoid malnutrition. The gastrostomy tube was eventually removed when oral intake of food became possible.
