Child With Diffuse Bullous Rash

A 5-year-old girl presented with an itchy, blistering rash that started 2 weeks before presentation. She was treated initially by her primary physician, who had prescribed mupirocin and cephalexin for presumed impetigo. At presentation, her rash had spread to her entire body, sparing mucous membranes. It consisted of large, tense bullae on the legs, negative for Nikolsky's sign, in addition to smaller annular vesicles with central clearing on her upper torso (Figure 1).
