Abstract
Endoscopic ultrasound‐guided hepaticogastrostomy (EUS‐HGS) is useful as an alternative biliary drainage for patients with a difficult biliary approach, but the procedure has a high complication rate1, 2. We present a case in which a stent that migrated into the peritoneal cavity was removed endoscopically under fluoroscopic guidance. A 72‐year‐old male with esophageal cancer presented to our department for treatment of obstructive jaundice. Metastatic peritonitis caused stricture of the distal bile duct and the duodenum. He underwent EUS‐HGS and received a long, partially covered metal stent (LP‐CMS; Niti‐S Modified‐GIOBOR stent, TaeWoong Medical, Seoul, Korea).
