Abstract
Endoscopic gastroduodenal stenting is widely adopted as a palliative therapy for malignant gastroduodenal obstruction. While a full covering over a stenosis is ideal to utilize maximum efficacy, an unnecessary coverage should be avoided to prevent the complications. Because the direct observation of a distal stent end is impossible, it is challenging to preserve the ampulla of Vater when placing a gastroduodenal stent beyond the duodenal bulb.
