Role of the Interaction Motif in Maintaining the Open Gate of an Open Sodium Channel

This paper describes the first molecular dynamics simulation of a full-length open activated sodium channel structure, defining the roles of specific residues in the interaction domain, as well as the importance of the voltage sensor and C-terminal domains, in maintaining an open structure.
