Different ways for remote-controlled guidance of single spermatozoa include rolled-up nanomembranes, which can unfold and release the cell, magnetic helixes, and microtubes, which can be used to transport or guide single sperm cells to target locations, such as an oocyte surrounded by cumulus cells.
