Abstract
The association between progesterone receptor (PR) expression and improved outcome of ovarian cancer patients has been reported with conflicting results (1). To clarify the prognostic role of PR expression patients, Luo et al. (1) performed a meta‐analysis of 28 published studies. The authors found that PR expression detected by immunohistochemistry (IHC) was associated with favorable overall survival (hazard ratio [HR] = 0.86) combining studies not stratified by histotypes.
