Here, Stathopoulou et al. demonstrate that plasticity of Th1 cells to Tbet+iTreg cells is mediated by PD-1 signaling via asparaginyl endopeptidase (AEP). AEP inhibition enhanced iTreg cells in GvHD and tumor models.
