Our front cover features an immunofluorescence staining of Bcl-3 (red) and NF-κB p50 (green) in psoriasis-lesion skin. The image relates to the article by Tohyama et al. (pp. 168–179), where the authors show that Bcl-3 enhances psoriasis-related gene expression of epidermal keratinocytes in cooperation with p50. IL-22 and IL-17A, critical mediators in the pathogenesis of psoriasis, increase nuclear Bcl-3 and p50 in epidermal keratinocytes. Bcl-3 might be a future therapeutic target for the treatment of psoriasis.
