The Scientific Life of Jörg Langowski: A Reminiscence

This special issue of the Biophysical Journal is dedicated to the memory of Jörg Langowski, one of the most accomplished, widely respected, and well-liked members of the international biophysics community. Jörg was a Professor at the University of Heidelberg and Head of the Biophysics of Macromolecules Division at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg. Remarkably enthusiastic, collaborative, and supportive of others, he formed enduring friendships with numerous scientists around the world.
