In Regard to Kim et al

To the Editor: We read with great interest the article entitled "Clinical utility of Epstein-Barr virus DNA testing in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients" (1). The authors reviewed the groundbreaking studies regarding the importance of estimating plasma Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) load before, during, and after chemoradiotherapy treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Furthermore, they summarized the discussion held in the workshop convened by the National Cancer Institute in November 2015 regarding the implementation of EBV testing in different stages of NPC surveillance, treatment, and follow-up.
