Consolidative Radiotherapy for Limited Metastatic Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Randomized Phase 2 Trial

Maintenance systemic therapy has shown statistically significant but modest benefits in progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) for patients with stage IV non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This trial sought to determine if intervening with non-invasive, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) prior to maintenance chemotherapy in patients with limited metastatic NSCLC led to significant improvements in PFS.
