3D Printing: A New 3D Printing Strategy by Harnessing Deformation, Instability, and Fracture of Viscoelastic Inks (Adv. Mater. 6/2018)

A new 3D-printing strategy is reported by Xuanhe Zhao and Hyunwoo Yuk in article number 1704028 by harnessing deformation, instability, and fracture of viscoelastic inks. The new strategy allows single-nozzle printing of various fiber diameters and patterns for viscoelastic inks. Furthermore, selection parameters for the new 3D-printing strategy can be rationally guided by a quantitative phase diagram.
