Tumor-infiltrating T lymphocytes and morphogenesis of follicular lymphoma

The histological components adjacent to the tumor-infiltrating T lymphocytes (TILs) described by Xerri et al. [1] may require clarification: Are these lymphocytes free, directly in contact with tumor cells, or do they remain within or in and around vessels? If vessels are ambient, they are most likely postcapillary venules (PCVs) as described by our group [2-4], with their occurrence correlating well with patients' prognoses. (See Fig..)
