A rare case of Epstein-Barr virus-associated early gastric cancer with multiple synchronous intramucosal lesions

Abstract

Epstein-Barr virus-associated gastric cancer (EBV-GC) accounts for 8.7% of gastric cancer.¹ EBV-GC is associated with lower prevalence of lymph node metastasis (LNM), and better prognosis.^1-3 However, little is known regarding intramucosal EBV-GC. We report a case of multiple synchronous lesions of intramucosal EBV-GC.
