Colorectal tumors with mutations in BRAF and microsatellite stability (MSS) have been associated with adverse outcomes of patients. Combined tests for microsatellite instability (MSI-H) and BRAF mutations might therefore be used in risk assessment, particularly for patients with stage II tumors.
