Safety and Efficacy of Accelerated Hypofractionation and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients with Varying Degrees of Hepatic Impairment

In this retrospective report of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) or accelerated hypofractionated radiotherapy (AHRT) in patients with varying degrees of hepatic dysfunction, we identified that global hepatic functionality decline as measured by Child-Pugh score decline of 2 or more within 6 months of RT was similar across baseline liver functionality groups. These data provide evidence for further prospective SBRT trials for patients with advanced liver dysfunction.
