Multi-institutional Study of Carbon-ion Radiotherapy for Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer: Japan Carbon-ion Radiation Oncology Study Group (J-CROS) Study 1403 Pancreas

Pancreatic cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death especially in developed countries. We conducted a retrospective, multi-institutional study in 72 patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer to evaluate the efficacy and safety of carbon-ion radiotherapy. The results indicated relatively favorable clinical outcomes with limited toxicities.
