A complex epsilon-near-zero material made of different metallic nanoparticles arranged in a disordered fractal structure that results from a scalable self-assembly fabrication procedure is described by Edward H. Sargent, Andrea Fratalocchi, and co-workers in article number 1701165. The material can be immersed in water for applications in photocatalysis and has a record ability to convert light into chemical energy for enhanced hydrogen production.
