My Story

It happened during a morning call a few years back. It was a routine duty in the fast-paced resuscitation area. I was on call with 2 more junior physicians. We were informed by the staff that there had been a bomb blast in a residential area of Karachi during a religious procession, killing hundreds of people and injuring others. The trauma team was prepared with a plan in place to handle the likely surge in the aftermath of the disaster.
