A photomicrograph of amyloid angiopathy in a brain biopsy from a 37 year old man who had embolization of a parotid cavernous hemangioma by intracarotid injection of lyophilized cadaveric dura at age 2. The brown stain for amyloid‐β shows widespread deposition in leptomeningeal (here between two cortical gyri) and intraparenchymal arteries, with splitting of some blood vessel walls.
