Abstract
Aluminum potassium sulfate and tannic acid (ALTA) sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment for internal hemorrhoids with few complications. However, it may occasionally induce complications such as rectal ulcer. The use of polyglycolic acid (PGA) sheets to seal hemorrhagic rectal ulcers is rare. We report the successful treatment of hemorrhagic rectal ulcer caused by ALTA sclerotherapy using PGA sheets.
