Water-dispersible and label-free chiral photodynamic therapy (PDT) agents, through DNA-based self-assembly SS nanostructures have been fabricated, with high reactive oxygen species-generating efficiency, as described in article number 1606864 by Hua Kuang and co-workers. The enantiomer-dependent and structure-induced nanoassemblies play an important role in PDT effects. Moreover, the nanostructures have been well dispersed throughout the cell and show no cytotoxicity, which is important for future biological applications.
